Today’s Scripture

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, about your body, or what you will wear.  Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?    Matthew 6:25 (NIV)

Today’s Word

The welfare of the sheep depends solely on the care given from the shepherd.  If the shepherd does not worry, why should the sheep?  The shepherd goes ahead of the sheep and knows when it is time for a new wardrobe, new shoes, or time to eat.  But there is a greater need.  The need of caring for your life, soul, mind and your body.  Our heavenly Father knows our needs before we ask and is willing to give them to us when we put Him first in our lives.  We accomplish this by living as He desires for us to live.  The Lord wants to give you a life of abundance.  So, study and pray so you will be knowledgeable about God’s will for you!  It is then that you will know His will, and you will be able to answer unto his calling.

Today’s Scripture

Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

Jeremiah 33:3  (KJV)

Today’s Word

We’re living in a fast pace world.  Our cell phones often ping with text messages.   After responding to the text, we then check our email.  Next, we get an instant message.  We respond to it, and then decide to check our Facebook page.   Where is it we’re meeting friends?    Afterwards, we check Twitter for messages.  Before we know it, night-time has come, and we’ve missed the most important task of the day.   We did not call God or answer when the Holy Spirit called us.

The Bible tells us to call on God, and surely He will answer us and tell us great and hidden things that we have no knowledge of.  God has a word just for you.  I encourage you to take some time each day to meditate on the Word of God.

New Age technology is wonderful, but God’s Word is Awesome!  Connecting to the world will fade away, but God’s Word with last forever!

It’s a New Year

It’s the beginning of a new year, and God is definitely up to something incredible.   The pages of your new book are blank and the slate is swept clean.  This would make it a perfect time to take advantage of new opportunities and create a pathway to do some impossible things with a Creator who can make all things possible.   Regardless of the adversities of 2011, it did not take you out.   Make a decision today to leave all past hurts and disappointments in the past along with 2011.  Hold your head up high, stick your chest out and be fearless and determined in knowing that you are more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ.  Don’t be afraid to take the first step.  Many times, it’s the first step that causes your feet to keep moving, and before you know it, you’ve allowed God to begin a new and great work within you to do some awesome things in Him.

Whatever your goals are for 2012, don’t hesitate to push and allow it to come to past.

Give Thanks Unto the Lord

O give thanks unto the Lord; for [He is] good; for His mercy [endureth] forever.  (KJV)  1 Chronicles 16:34

What are you thankful for?

We should never take for granted the small things the Lord blesses us with.  The Lord places great emphasis on being thankful, and so should we.

Why should you thank God?

  • You should thank God for His Power
  • You should thank God for His Person
  • You should thank God for His Provision
  • You should thank God for His Protection
  • You should thank God for His Presence

Thanks in the Hebrew language means Yaddah, which mean to make a public announcement.   Do you remember the last time you made a public announcement of what you are thankful for?  A public announcement by definition is composed of a group of words which are intentionally spoken or intentionally written for new awareness toward a mass of people to attain.  Your mass of people could be your family, friends, coworkers or the people who style your, whether it’s  your barber or your hair stylist.  Make an intentional effort to become more public with your gratitude of the gratefulness of your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Knowing God unlocks joy which allows you to know him better.  Knowing God’s Word reveals joy which allows you to love Him even more.  Trusting God releases joy making life more pleasurable.  Obeying God restores joy renewing your daily strength.
